There are several types of will permitted under Thai inheritance law such as a simple will, a handwritten will, a public document will, a secret document will and an oral will. If you have not made a last will or testament. Under Thai inheritance laws it generally means that the assets will be distributed amongst the statutory heirs. The spouse will receive an equal share of the property. The other half will be inherited by the statutory heirs. As the spouse is one of the statutory heirs, will receive a portion of the other half (depending on how many and what class of statutory heirs are available). There are 6 classes of statutory heirs and they are entitled to inherit in the following order:
1. Descendants
2. Parents
3. Brothers and sisters of full blood
4. Brothers and sisters of half blood
5. Grandparents
6. Uncles and aunts

The Last will and testament is a important document for you to plan ahead as how your assets will be managed when you pass away to ensure those assets will be properly distributed to your loved ones.
